Alan MacRae has played various brass instruments for many years at the highest levels.  He has played tuba with Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Euphonium and Baritone with Championship section brass bands, and elite wind bands.  He also plays percussion, conducts, composes and arranges music of all styles, and teaches brass, percussion and music theory.  Alan is the Chairman of Wiltshire Rural Music and a trustee of Wiltshire Music Centre, and is Musical Director of Royal Wootton Bassett Orchestra.

Pianist David Knowles is a familiar face to Tune@Noon regulars, having been accompanying a host of performers over the years. David graduated from the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester, England. After which, he worked for (among others) Manchester's Northern Ballet company. In Iceland, he worked for Iceland opera, Suzuki organisation of Iceland, Reykjavik school of singing and was also Director of Music at the Catholic Cathedral. From 1996 until 2015, he was based in Hong Kong, working both as freelance accompanist and teacher. Now back in the UK, David teaches music from beginners to more advanced levels.
